Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice describes information that may be handled when a visitor opens Adams County Busted Mugshots, submits a search, or sends a contact message. The service is private and does not hold the official Adams County Sheriff or jail files described in its record material. A third-party search provider, analytics service, or linked agency may keep information under its own notice, so review those terms before sharing personal data.

Information That May Reach Us

A query entered in a search widget may pass the first name, last name, state selection, and technical request details to the third-party provider that processes the search. A contact message may include the sender’s name, email address, phone number, and anything else typed into the message. Ordinary technical data may also be recorded, such as an IP address, browser and device details, referring page, approximate time, and requested page.

Do not put private medical, financial, login, or legal details into a search box or message unless the receiving provider clearly explains the need. The service cannot promise that an outside provider stores, uses, or deletes information in the same way.

How Information May Be Used

Information may support a requested search result, a response to a message, site security, page-performance review, abuse prevention, content improvement, and compliance with legal duties. Technical logs can help diagnose a broken page or unusual traffic. A search provider may also use a submitted query under its own privacy notice and terms.

Cookies and Similar Tools

The service or its providers may use cookies, local storage, pixels, and similar tools for basic functions, saved preferences, analytics, advertising measurement, or fraud prevention. A browser can limit or delete cookies, although some features may then work differently. The service does not control every cookie or similar identifier placed by an outside search, analytics, or advertising provider.

Outside Providers and Links

Resources include the Adams County Sheriff, the Adams County Jail visitor page, the county public-records request form, Idaho courts, IDOC, BOP, ICE, local news, and other sources. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination’s privacy notice and terms apply. Search partners, analytics services, advertising networks, hosting providers, and technical vendors may receive information needed to operate their services. Each provider sets its own retention and security practices.

Required Disclosure

Adams County Busted Mugshots is privately operated, not a government agency, and not affiliated with the Adams County Sheriff, jail, courts, corrections department, or a city government. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Neither this service nor its partners may be used for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another purpose covered by the FCRA.

Legal Requests and Safety

Information may be provided to a service provider, professional adviser, court, government body, or law-enforcement agency when required by a lawful order, subpoena, legal process, or a good-faith response to a safety concern. The service may preserve logs or messages needed to investigate abuse, fraud, or a security incident.

Security and Retention

Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards may be used, but no online transmission or storage system can be promised secure. Security is a best-effort practice, not a guarantee. Retention depends on why information was received, which provider handled it, legal duties, dispute needs, and operational records. The service does not control how long a linked government office or outside search provider keeps information.

Children and User Choices

This service is for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. If a child has sent personal information, a parent or guardian may ask for review and deletion where the service has authority to act. A visitor may ask what contact information was received, request correction of an inaccurate message, request deletion when appropriate, or withdraw a voluntary contact message. A search query sent to an outside provider must be addressed through that provider. Some data may need to remain for legal, security, or dispute reasons.

Changes to This Notice

This notice may be revised when the service, search tools, laws, or vendors change. The current version is the one posted on this page. A revision applies to activity after it is posted, and continued use after that posting indicates acceptance of the updated notice.
